I am very surprised though because they have said many times in the past that they were not interested in hiring a full time bass player...maybe Brett has been around so long now that they have gotten use to him...who knows?

It's not that I don't think Brett should be properly thanked for his contribution to the band....I just don't think he fits in well with the rest of the guys. I'm not adverse to them permanantly replacing Brian...in fact I think it's silly that they have not yet done so. There's just other people I think would be a better match....like Dave Rhea for example, I think he'd fit in real well!
